What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the verbally inspired Word of God.

God

We believe in one living and true God, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three equal persons – God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Person and Work of God the Father

We believe God the Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of human history according to His purpose and grace.

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became a man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a perfect life and died on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for our sins.

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe that the ministry of God the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts people of sin, and gives life to the spiritually dead, who receive Jesus Christ as Savior, baptizing them at the moment of faith into the Church.

Salvation

We believe that every person is lost in sin apart from Christ and in need of a Savior. Jesus Christ died as a full and sufficient payment for the sins of the entire world, and His shed blood is the only provision by which an individual may be delivered from the wrath of God.

Fidel Pesina

In 1994 I married my beloved wife Waynette and became a devoted family man with four sons and three grandchildren. In late November 2018, we felt God’s call to attend Turning Point Church of Bay City, Texas. This divine direction led to an appointment as one of the pastors in 2020.

Today, I serve as the Senior Pastor of Turning Point Church. As Pastor, I am committed to pouring into the community, bringing people to the saving grace of God, and equipping and empowering them to become ambassadors for Christ. My mission is to spread the gospel and the love of Christ beyond the walls of the church, making a lasting impact on all who cross his path.

Partner Ministries

A priority for TPC is relationships — Godly relationships for accountability as well as inspiration. TPC and the Pesinas are well connected with the Genesis Team, Powerhouse Church of Katy, TX, Jordan Ranch Christian Retreat Center, and Manhood University, all of which intentionally engage TPC into worldwide ministry arenas.
